About STGS Website

This page cites all those works that have been used after suitable modifications to build the non-commercial, non-profitable website https://stgsiisc.github.io/ hosted on GitHub. The exact purpose of this website is to record details of different talks given by a group of mathematics students interested in topology and geometry, nothing more than that.

Hi, I am Sumanta, a Ph.D. student of the IISc Mathematics Department interested in topology. I designed/developed this website. Also, I am currently maintaining it. You can mail me at sumantad030@gmail.com for any non-mathematical query related to the license, copyright, design, etc. I would like to thank Ajay Nair, Kartick Ghosh, Sivaram P., and Gobinda Sau for their constant support in making this website.

The figure in the upper-left corner is the one-holed torus, which is also the Seifert surface of the Trefoil knot. The idea for this drawing is inspired by the SeifertView app (Jarke J. van Wijk, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven). It was initially created in the SeifertView app and later drawn (after several modifications to create the .svg extension) using the Inkscape app.

The figure in the upper-right corner is the Hopf fibration. The idea for this drawing is inspired by Figure 1 of the paper Two and Three Qubits Geometry and Hopf Fibrations, and was redrawn (after several modifications to create the .svg extension) using the Inkscape app.
